Juneau County authorities investigate suspicious death
MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Juneau County officials are investigating a suspicious death Thursday morning near County Highway M.
The Sheriff’s Office received a report of a deceased person around 8:40 a.m. on County Highway M, near Oakridge Trail parking area.
Authorities reported finding the body in the area. He was not identified in the release.
Juneau Co. Sheriff’s Office indicated the death appears to be an isolated incident and there is no danger to the surrounding communities.

Two nearby residents said they saw flashing lights and heard sirens around 8:45 a.m. Thursday. When they looked outside, they saw that CTH M had been closed. The couple did not want to speak on camera.
Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigations arrived at the scene just before 5:30 pm. The DCI officer spoke with the Wisconsin State Patrol Officer guarding the active scene, who then let him through to investigate. The DCI officer was on CTH M looking at traffic cones which were placed behind the road closed sign.
County Highway M closed for more than 24 hours from about one mile south of State Highway 21 to Cranberry Creek Road/25th Street while officials investigated. The road reopened Friday afternoon.
