National Weather Service confirms four tornadoes from Wednesday’s storms

The National Weather Service has confirmed four tornadoes touched down in southern Wisconsin on Wednesday night.

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The National Weather Service in La Crosse has now confirmed four tornadoes touched down in southern Wisconsin on Wednesday.

An EF-1 tornado traveled through Grant and Iowa County near Boscobel to around Highland. That tornado had winds up to 105 mph and traveled for just under 20 miles.

Another EF-1 tornado happened in Iowa County near Ridgeway to the south of Barneveld. That tornado had winds up to 105 mph.

The National Weather Service had rated the Crawford County tornado as an EF-2 earlier on Thursday. That tornado originally started in Iowa and traveled from Eastman to Boscobel.

The Belleville tornado was rated as an EF-1 earlier in the day. That tornado had winds up to 110 mph and traveled on the ground for just under three miles.
