15 Days to Blitz: Lodi Blue Devils look to build upon their legacy

LODI, Wis. (WMTV) -Our “15 Days to Blitz” coverage continues as we get you closer and closer to the Friday Football Blitz this coming Friday night.

Today, we head to Lodi to visit the Blue Devils. After putting together another great season last year, Lodi has its sights set on the 2026 campaign.

The Blue Devils are fired up to kick things off under the lights at home this Friday when they host Monroe.

“We’re very excited for our first game against Monroe,” said Bennett Nyquist, a senior wide receiver and defensive back for Lodi. “Like every week, we did work out in the summer, and we’ve just really been more committed than ever before.”

Head coach Kyle Mack is looking forward to seeing what his team can accomplish with a mix of veteran leadership and young talent that gained valuable experience late last season.

“First off, looking forward to these guys getting their opportunity this year,” Mack said. “Towards the end of last year, we had some underclassmen get some more snaps due to some injuries and stuff like that, helping them prepare for this year.”

Mack also highlighted the work his squad put in during the break to get ready for the physical demands of the upcoming schedule.

“We also had a good offseason in the weight room and summer conditioning program, so the kids did a good job there,” Mack said. “We just need to continue to work together and continue to build on from last year.”
