Travel industry experts say Americans are helping bring back travel to pre-covid levels in a big way this summer setting spending records for vacation travel. While that is good news for businesses in the industry, it may not be as good for your wallet.
“I feel like we go on vacation and money becomes this weirdly abstract concept with souvenirs and you get home and you’re like ‘Oh my gosh! What have I done,’ And you’re left wondering how did we spend so much money?” said Michelle Zuelke, General Manager at Outlets at the Dells. “So I’m telling you don’t stress about it, come to Outlets at the Dells because everything here is 30-70% off all the time anyway.”
It’s easy to find a bargain at the Outlet mall.
“We have a 5 Below store opening August 3, everything there will be $5 and under so if you forget something or you want to grab just a little something for the kids that store is like a godsend,” Zuelke said.
But it’s also great when you can find something you really do want but within your budget.
“But you can also buy really amazing high end souvenirs for much less. I went into Michael Kors yesterday and found a beautiful handbag that was $500 for 70 bucks,” Zuekle said. “There is also entertainment along the way while you’re shopping and food to nosh on.”
