Sun Prairie Area School District announces next steps to fill open spots on Board of Education
SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (WMTV) - With two spots open on the Sun Prairie Area School District Board of Education, officials are sharing the steps of how they will be filled.
The Board will now appoint a candidate to fill Alwyn Foster’s position through the April 2025 spring election.
He announced his resignation from the board on November 12.
Sun Prairie officials will also work to appoint a candidate to fill Lisa Goldsberry’s position through the April 2026 spring election.
She resigned the following month on December 2.
To fill the open positions, the board and interested candidates will follow this process:
- Candidates must submit a resume and letter to the Sun Prairie Area School District by 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 9.
- The board will interview candidates in an open meeting.
- The board will then vote on the candidates by Jan. 16, 2025.
The candidates will then sit on the board until the replacements are voted on in the Spring 2025 election. Four seats will be up for election.
