Fmr. Sun Prairie teacher accused of filming students in bathroom reaches plea agreement
MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The former Sun Prairie teacher accused of secretly recording students in a school bathroom has reached a plea agreement, court records show.
Matthew Quaglieri was previously indicted on three counts of producing child pornography for allegedly filming students at Prairie View Middle School over a period of time.
According to the plea agreement, which was signed by Quaglieri on Dec. 17, he is expected to plead guilty to one of the counts. The remaining charges would be dismissed.
The agreement states that both parties agreed that a sentence of at least 10 years in prison is appropriate in this case. It also notes that Quaglieri agrees to provide restitution of no less than $3,000 per victim. The exact amount will be determined during a sentencing hearing.
Court records indicate he will appear for a plea hearing at 2 p.m. on Jan. 13, 2025.
Prior to being arrested in October of 2022, Quaglieri was a teacher at Prairie View Middle School. He resigned that November.
