USTA Tumbling and Trampoline Championships happening at Alliant Energy Center
MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Over 2,000 athletes from across the nation are competing at the Alliant Energy Center this week during the USTA Tumbling and Trampoline Championships.
This is the fourth time the competition has been held in Madison, and nearly 4,000 events will take place between now and Saturday.
Saturday will be the final day with a parade of champions and an awards ceremony taking place.
USTA President Debbie Barber says it’s a true culmination of the work the athletes have put in to make it to Madison.
“Athletes that are here representing their clubs and their states, are traveling all over,” Barber said. “This is the culminating event for their entire season’s worth of work. They had to place in the top 15 in their state to even qualify to get here.”
