BARABOO, Wis. (WMTV) - The cast of Broadway musical “Water for Elephants,” which has performances on now at Madison’s Overture Center, got to explore Circus World Museum on Wednesday in Baraboo.

The musical, which revolves around the circus, features many actors who have also been in circus or acrobatic acts.

The show includes elaborate animatronics and circus acts, which are featured in many real-life circus shows such as the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus.

“I think the show is a nice escape form reality and it’s nice to go back to this history and this time that we once were,” said Tyler West, who plays Walter in “Water for Elephants.” “And the show is about like how do you find community when times are tough which I think is a fun message.”

Performances of “Water for Elephants” will take place at Overture Center until Sunday.
