MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Friday may be Juneteenth, but festivities are continuing into Saturday with the annual ‘Juneteenth in the Park’ in Madison.

The event begins with a parade, followed by live music, performances, speakers and family activities.

The parade begins at the Madison Labor Temple at 11 a.m., and travels south down Park Street, ending at Penn Park.

The celebration will continue at the park until 6 p.m.

Several roads will be closed due to the parade, including S. Park Street from W. Badger Road to W. Wingra Drive beginning at 10:30 a.m., and will reopen by 12:30 p.m.

Streets surrounding Penn Park, including Fisher Street and Dane Street will be closed until 6 p.m.
